Best iPad M2 Warranty

Apple’s all-new iPad and iPad Pro are the two top tablets on the market. Apple upgraded the device to include the M2 chip, which means that the tablet can handle complicated tasks faster. Overall, Apple’s 2022 iPad has several improvements over the 2021 iPad, including faster processing speed, more storage space options, and better video editing capabilities.

However, the iPad is expensive and costs between $799 and $2,399, depending on the model you choose. As a result, you need to pair it with an extended warranty so your device is protected from accidental damage and defects.

iPad Potential Issues and Defects

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, says, “Powered by the M2 chip, the new iPad Pro features incredible performance and the most advanced technologies, including a next-level Apple Pencil hover experience, ProRes video capture, superfast wireless connectivity, and powerful iPadOS 16 features. There’s nothing else like it.”

Even though the iPad has a better chip doesn’t mean that it’s invulnerable to defects. In fact, it’s likely that a good portion of the new iPads will experience some sort of manufacturing defect. Luckily, Apple’s limited warranty will cover manufacturing defects as long as it appears during the warranty period (more on that in the next section).

Another type of damage that your new iPad is likely to experience is accidental damage. Accidental damage refers mainly to scratches, screen cracks, liquid damage, and damage from drops or falls. Even though accidental damage is extremely common, the limited warranty will not cover it. This means that you need an extended warranty to protect your device from accidental damage.

The 2022 iPad has a feature that allows the iPad to track the Apple Pencil as it hovers 12 mm above the display. Since this is a precise feature, you might see some issues with accurate tracking or touchscreen delay.

Apple’s iPad Limited Warranty

According to Apple’s website, “The Apple Limited Warranty covers your iPad and the Apple-branded accessories that come in the box with your product against manufacturing issues for one year from the date you bought them.”

Apple will cover manufacturing defects for 12 months. After the first 12 months, they will no longer cover manufacturing defects. In addition, Apple’s limited warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage. This means that customers will have to pay out of pocket if they accidentally damage their iPad or if there is a manufacturing defect after the first 12 months.

For example, customers could easily drop the iPad and crack the screen. If that happens, the limited warranty becomes void. Other instances include spilling water on the device, which also voids the warranty.

Apple does offer coverage through AppleCare; however, AppleCare is expensive and limits where you can take your device for repairs. For example, two years of coverage for the iPad Pro 11-inch costs $129 and has a deductible of $49 per claim.

Why Upsie Has the Best iPad Extended Warranty

Because Apple’s limited warranty offers standard (but inadequate) coverage, many Apple customers choose to pair their iPad with Upsie’s extended warranties. Upsie’s iPad warranties are affordable, comprehensive, and easy to use.

For a $799 2022 iPad, a two-year Upsie warranty costs just $103.99, and a three-year warranty costs $179.99. With this warranty, Upsie will cover manufacturing defects, accidental damage, battery failure, and more. Plus, Upsie has a low deductible of just $25. In addition, Upsie’s certified repair network is extremely flexible. Customers can even request a specific repair shop, so they always get the best repairs available in their area.

Compared to AppleCare, Upsie customers save $25 on a two-year warranty for the iPad 11-inch, and they save another $20 on every deductible cost. Upsie also offers a three-year plan — something that AppleCare does not offer unless you purchase their monthly plan (which costs $215.64 for three years).

Upsie is the best choice to protect your iPad. You can purchase an Upsie warranty for new and used tablets bought in the last 60 days. Upsie also offers warranties for laptops, warranties for smartwatches, and other devices.
