Samsung Versus GE Ovens and Ranges

Shopping for a new oven is difficult! GE is one of the oldest electronics companies and typically has more straightforward traditional designs. Samsung may be newer to stove production but has a sleek design with various features. So when comparing Samsung versus GE ovens, which company is the best?

Most Affordable Electric Range

Are you shopping on a budget? Luckily, both Samsung and GE sell stoves under $800 for those looking for a decent range without spending excessive money. GE’s most affordable electric stove is the GE® 30″ Free-Standing Electric Range at $649. It’s available in white and black with a 5-cubic foot oven. On the cooktop, it has temperature-limiting electric coils. Two of the burners are 6-inch, and two are 8-inch. It also has a self-cleaning feature to keep your oven in pristine shape.
Samsung’s most affordable electric stove is a little more expensive than GE’s at $729. However, the extra $80 may be worth it since the Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. Freestanding Electric Range in Stainless Steel offers a larger oven with five burners on an electric radiant cooktop. Two of the burners are dual elements that can be used as either 6-inch or 9-inch burners to fit a variety of pots and pans. In addition, it has a storage drawer and three self-clean settings so that you can select a three, four, or five-hour cleaning cycle. It has a sleeker look than GE’s and comes in stainless steel but can be upgraded to black fingerprint-resistant stainless steel for $829.
When comparing these two affordable ranges, GE has the more affordable option, but Samsung gives you more for your money. For only $80 more, you’d get a larger oven, a fifth burner, a sleeker design, and more self-clean settings.

Most Affordable Double Ovens

Double ovens are a great feature for avid chefs and those cooking for large groups of people. Both Samsung and GE have electric dual ovens for as low as $1,499, but again, Samsung stoves offer more value for the price.
There are a lot of similarities between Samsung’s 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Freestanding Electric Range with Flex Duo™ and the GE® 30″ Free-Standing Electric Double Oven Convection Range. Both ranges have an air fry function, five burners, double ovens, and are stainless steel. The GE 30” Free-Standing Electric Double Oven range also has two flexible elements. One doubles as a 12-inch or 9-inch burner. The other can be used as a 9-inch or 6-inch burner with a power boil function. There is also a fifth warming element with a lower temperature to keep your food warm without cooking. The oven in total is 6.6-cubic feet, with 2.2-cubic feet for the top oven and 4.4-cubic feet for the bottom.
However, Samsung stoves have many more features for the same price, namely the removable non-stick griddle on the cooktop. It can easily be removed for cleaning or access to the two burners underneath. There is also an adjustable triple ring burner and a double ring burner. The double ovens can be combined into one to fit larger dishes, such as a Thanksgiving turkey, or used separately at different temperatures. Additionally, the Samsung stove connects to Wifi, and you can control your oven temperature, and set presets on the Samsung SmartThings app. With all these features, it’s easy to say that the Samsung double oven is a better value for the price.

Samsung versus GE Gas Ranges

Some people prefer gas ranges, and GE and Samsung offer gas ranges for $1149. The GE® 30″ Free-Standing Gas Convection Range and the Samsung 6.0 cu. ft. Smart Freestanding Gas Range has air-fry functions, four burners, a storage drawer, and an integrated griddle. However, where the GE model has a 5-cubic foot oven, the Samsung model has a 6-cubic inch oven. It also has a dual ring burner, and WiFi connectivity so you can control the timer and oven temp from your phone.

Conclusion

Samsung and GE have many products at various price points, and many of their competing models are similar, if not the same, in prices. However, Samsung ovens have many more features and value for a similar or the same price as competing for GE stoves. So, unless you are trying to spend the least money possible, Samsung ovens are a better value for the price.
