How do my home tech electronics get repaired?

After you submit your claim, the representative will present you with the repair options that make the most sense for the device. We recommend bringing it into one of our local repair partners or mail it in for repair.

Can I buy a protection plan on a used/refurbished home tech electronics?

Yes! Starting March 24, 2023 you can buy a protection plan for your used or refurbished Home Tech Electronics as long as your device has no damage, comes with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty, you purchased your device within the last 4 years, and its original MSRP before tax and discounts was at or below $999.99.

Do you cover my model of home tech electronics?

Yes, we cover all models of home tech electronics as long as there is at least a 90-day manufacturer's warranty or a 30-day seller's warranty on it (the vast majority do). Upsie is not able to protect international models as the companies often do not ship replacement parts to the United States.

Can I cancel my protection plan and receive a refund?

Yes, you can cancel your protection plan at any time. For all plans purchased after March 24, 2023, if you cancel your plan within 90 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund (if there are no approved claims.) If you cancel your plan after 90 days, your coverage will conclude at the end of the current billing period and there will be no refund.

If there are no repair options conveniently located to you, a representative can provide you with a prepaid shipping label to send your item to a repair facility. Please keep in mind that you may be responsible for some or all of the shipping, packaging, and insurance costs. It's important to protect your item with bubble wrap or other materials to ensure it arrives safely, as we are not responsible if additional damage or something happens to it during shipping.

Replacement

If the cost of repair is not feasible, a claims representative will work to find a replacement device.

All devices require a 90 day waiting period before you can make a claim, unless your device is brand new and was purchased in the last 30 days and you provide your receipt during activation to waive the claims waiting period.
