How does my camera get repaired?

After you submit your claim, the representative will present you with the repair options that make the most sense for the device. We recommend bringing it into one of our local repair partners or mail it in for repair.

Can I buy a protection plan on a used/refurbished camera and lens?

Yes! Starting March 24, 2023 you can buy a protection plan for your used or refurbished Cameras or Lenses as long as your device has no damage, comes with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty, and you purchased your device within the last 4 years

Do you cover my model of camera and lens?

We're able to cover most models of Cameras or Lenses as long as it is in good working condition with no physical damage and it was purchased within the last 4 years. We're not able to protect the model if the original price before tax and discounts was more than $3,999.99. Upsie is not able to protect international models, or devices purchased outside of the United States.

Can I cancel my protection plan and receive a refund?

Yes, you can cancel your protection plan at any time. For all plans purchased after March 24, 2023, if you cancel your plan within 90 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund (if there are no approved claims.) If you cancel your plan after 90 days, your coverage will conclude at the end of the current billing period and there will be no refund.

Upsie accident protection covers screen cracks or damage as a result of accidents and drops.

Mechanical Failure

Upsie covers manufacturer defects and non-accidental failure of motors, gears, ball bearings, internal tubing, computer chips, rotors, and other internal moving parts.

Liquid Damage

Upsie covers damage as a result of liquid spills or submersion.

Ship It In

If there are no repair options conveniently located to you, a representative can provide you with a prepaid shipping label to send your item to a repair facility. Please keep in mind that you may be responsible for some or all of the shipping, packaging, and insurance costs. It's important to protect your item with bubble wrap or other materials to ensure it arrives safely, as we are not responsible if additional damage or something happens to it during shipping.

Replacement

If the cost of repair is not feasible, a claims representative will work to find a replacement device.

*Protection Start Date

All devices require a 90 day waiting period before you can make a claim, unless your device is brand new and was purchased in the last 30 days and you provide your receipt during activation to waive the claims waiting period.

Make a Claim

Log into your Upsie account to start your claim 24/7. During business hours, the claims representative will let you know if your claim is covered and collect your deductible (if applicable). Then they’ll help you schedule a repair appointment.
