If my MacBook gets replaced, does my protection plan come to an end?

Yes, having your laptop replaced ends the protection plan on your device. You can purchase a new protection for the new device.

Can I buy a protection plan on a used/refurbished MacBook?

Yes! Starting March 24, 2023 you can buy a protection plan for your used or refurbished Macbook as long as your device has no damage, comes with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty, you purchased your device within the last 4 years, and its original MSRP before tax and discounts was at or below $1,999.99.

Do you cover my model of MacBook?

We're able to cover most models of Macbooks as long as it is in good working condition with no physical damage and it was purchased within the last 4 years. We're not able to protect the model if the original price before tax and discounts was more than $1,999.99. Upsie is not able to protect international models, or devices purchased outside of the United States.

My laptop was marked as an open-box item, will Upsie cover it?

We're able to cover most open box items, as long as it is in good working condition with no physical damage and it was purchased within the last 4 years. We're not able to protect the model if the original price before tax and discounts was more than our maximum coverage amount. Upsie is not able to protect international models, or devices purchased outside of the United States.

Can I cancel my protection plan and receive a refund?

Yes, you can cancel your protection plan at any time. For all plans purchased after March 24, 2023, if you cancel your plan within 90 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund (if there are no approved claims.) If you cancel your plan after 90 days, your coverage will conclude at the end of the current billing period and there will be no refund.

If there isn't one conveniently located to you, the representative will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to send your item to a repair facility. Please keep in mind that you may be responsible for some or all of the shipping, packaging, and insurance costs. It's important to protect your item with bubble wrap or other materials to ensure it arrives safely, as we are not responsible if additional damage or something happens to it during shipping. Once fixed, the repair center will send your fixed product back to you.
