TP-Link Archer AXE200 Omni: Router With Motorized Antenna

Every year, TP-Link introduces a variety of new routers at CES, and they did not skip CES 2022. TP-Link calls the new product the Archer AXE200 Omni. This top-tier router offers plenty of advanced features, including a motorized set of antennas and 6GHz connectivity. Expect the router to debut at a relatively high price. TP-Link has not yet announced a price for this new router. According to CNET, they will probably cost hundreds of dollars. The publication based this prediction on the price of other top-tier routers from this brand, and none of those even have movable antennas.

Engadget reported that the new router could broadcast up to 10Gbps. If the Archer AXE200 Omni lives up to TP-Link’s promise, it should appeal to internet users with troublesome WiFi connections, like dead spots in a home or business. For instance, internet users can move around the house with a WiFi connection on the phone, and the moving antennas should follow.

TP-Link includes a two-year limited warranty for their smart routers. This warranty specifically only covers defects that arise for two years after the date of purchase. To receive service, buyers need to produce a sales receipt from an authorized vendor and a router serial number.

The manufacturer’s contract page links to a long list of exclusions, including problems caused by accidents, software, water, heat, and even shipping damage during the trip for warranty repairs. This protection should ensure customers will receive a device free of defects, but many other things can go wrong.
