How does my appliance get repaired?

After you submit your claim, the representative will help schedule and send out a technician to your home to fix your major appliance on site! For small appliances, the representative will present you with the repair options that make the most sense for the device. We recommend bringing it into one of our local repair partners or mail it in for repair.

Can I buy a protection plan on a used/refurbished major appliance?

Yes! Starting March 24, 2023 you can buy a protection plan for your used or refurbished major appliance as long as your appliance has no damage, comes with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty, you purchased your device within the last 4 years, and its original MSRP before tax and discounts was at or below $3,999.99

Do you cover my model of major appliance?

We're able to cover most models of Major Appliances as long as it is in good working condition with no physical damage and it was purchased within the last 4 years. We're not able to protect the model if the original price before tax and discounts was more than $3,999.99. Upsie is not able to protect international models, or devices purchased outside of the United States.

Can I cancel my protection plan and receive a refund?

Yes, you can cancel your protection plan at any time. For all plans purchased after March 24, 2023, if you cancel your plan within 90 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund (if there are no approved claims.) If you cancel your plan after 90 days, your coverage will conclude at the end of the current billing period and there will be no refund.

I have already a manufacturer's warranty for the first year - do I still need coverage then?

Yes! coverage provides you benefits for items not protected by your manufacturer's warranty so it is best to purchase it as soon as possible. Surge protection is maybe the most obvious benefit but it's not the only one. Coverage is also provided for expenses that go above and beyond the initial manufacturer's warranty such as if they do not cover parts and labor costs in some instances. For refrigerators, coverage also includes up to $200 in food replacement if your refrigerator fails and your food and drinks spoil.

*Protection Start Date

All devices require a 90 day waiting period before you can make a claim, unless your device is brand new and was purchased in the last 30 days and you provide your receipt during activation to waive the claims waiting period.
