The New Sony A7 IV Release Date and Specs

Sony’s latest Alpha-branded A7 IV digital camera, the follow-up to the top-rated A7 III, is now almost here. The A7 IV looks set to impress, with a raft of new features, unique capabilities, and more.
The Alpha range is now a decade and a half in the making, with Sony first introducing its flagship digital camera system back in June 2006. This introduction came less than 12 months after its initial entry into the digital SLR market the previous July. Within just two years, Sony was the fastest-growing company in the sector, quickly becoming the third-largest DSLR manufacturer globally in the process.
Now, and ahead of the Sony A7 IV’s release to customers, here’s what we know so far about the upcoming full-frame mirrorless digital camera from the award-winning Japanese manufacturer.

Sony is famous for its cameras and photography equipment, and with good reason. Just as with the A7 III, the latest Alpha-branded model, the A7 IV, is unlikely to disappoint based on the specs recently announced by Sony. Highlights include:

Features like the A7 IV’s real-time eye autofocus are designed to work with all subjects, too, including humans, animals, and birds, in both photos and videos.
