NordicTrack Versus ProForm Warranties

There are multiple brands of fitness equipment on the market, but a few brands stand out from the rest. Two of these brands are NordicTrack and ProForm. We compared the NordicTrack versus ProForm warranties to help you decide where to buy your next piece of fitness equipment.

What exercise equipment does NordicTrack sell?

NordicTrack sells an array of fitness equipment including:
  • Treadmills
  • Elliptical machines
  • Bikes
  • Strength training machines
  • Rowers
They also offer a fitness program called iFIT, which virtually connects you with personal trainers. The trainers can remotely control the speed, resistance and incline on your machine to ensure you’re getting a great workout.

Where can I buy NordicTrack Equipment?

You can purchase NordicTrack equipment directly on their website. Payments can be made in full or in 36-month or 12-month installments. Some NordicTrack equipment can also be purchased on Amazon, at Dicks’s Sporting Goods and Costco, but inventory and options are limited.

What fitness equipment does ProForm sell?

ProFrom sells a great variety of machines, too. They include:
  • Treadmills
  • Ellipticals
  • Exercise bikes
  • Hybrid trainers
  • Cardio hiit trainers
  • Rowers
Like NordicTrack, ProForm also offers the iFit program with the purchase of their equipment. They also currently have a program where, if you sign up for a 3-year iFit family membership, they will give you your equipment for “free.” Of course nothing is really free, though. According to their terms, “Your monthly payment is $39 for 36 months until you pay the full price of $1403.”

Where can I buy ProForm machines?

ProForm fitness machines are sold on their website where you can make payments for eighteen months interest free. They’re also sold in stores like Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sears and online from Amazon.

Which company has the best warranty?

Neither ProForm nor NordicTrack offer an extended warranty. Both companies have manufacturer warranties through ICON so the terms are similar if not the same. They cover:

Term 10-year frame, 2-year parts, 1-year labor
Repair due to manufacturer defects Yes
Replace due to manufacturer defects Yes
Damage by use or abuse Not covered
Shipping (to repair center) Owner’s responsibility
Deductible Yes – “trip charge”
Transferrable No

Do I need an extended warranty on my fitness equipment?

While you certainly don’t need an extended warranty, we do recommend that you get one. Upsie offers the best exercise equipment warranties. They start the date you purchased the equipment. So, if a break or defect falls under the “labor” coverage category, Upsie has you covered. Next, there is never a deductible, shipping or at-home repair fee. Everything is included under the Upsie warranty!

How much does an Upsie warranty cost?

Upsie fitness warranties vary on cost based on the purchase price of the equipment. This way, if your treadmill costs $1,200 versus $3,200, you’ll be paying much less. Here is a price breakdown for treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, rowing machines and stair climbers as of 4/02/2022:

Equipment Purchase Price 3-Year Upsie Price 5-Year Upsie Price Upsie Deductible
$0-$499.99 $102.99 $166.99 $0
$500-$999.99 $123.99 $202.99 $0
$1,000-$1,999.99 $141.99 $230.99 $0
$2,000-$2,999.99 $163.99 $266.99 $0
$3,000-$3,999.99 $195.99 $319.99 $0
$4,000-$4,999.99 $228.99 $372.99 $0

What NordicTrack or ProForm equipment should you buy?

If you compare NordicTrack versus ProForm, you’ll see that they sell very similar equipment. ProForm has models that start at lower price points than NordicTrack, which is attractive for people more interested in walking than running. Overall though, Treadmill Reviews recommends NordicTrack. After deciding on a brand, you have to choose between a treadmill or an elliptical, a rowing machine or a stair stepper, etc. These tips will help you decide on the best fitness equipment for your needs and goals.
