Lenovo LEGION 7 Laptops for Extreme Gamers

Legion is a series of gaming PCs from Lenovo. The company released its first Legion brand at CES 2017, followed by a high-performance model running Intel’s seventh-generation quad-core i7 CPU and Nvidia GTX 1070 discrete graphics later that year. Next, in 2018 it announced three new Legion laptops.
Then, in 2020, the company launched Legion 3, 5, and 7, where Legion 7 is the costliest and most powerful of the series. However, not satisfied to stick with previous designs, the Legion 7 lineup takes a laser-dot focus on gamers who insist on having one of the most powerful — if not the most powerful — machines on the market.

The Lenovo Legion 7 Family

All five models have several features in common. After all, they are all built with a high-grade aluminum-magnesium chassis, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ Graphics, Corsair® iCUE RGB lighting for the PC, mouse, and keyboard.
The Legion lineup has also introduced artificial intelligence (AI) to auto-enable seamless gaming. In addition, customers can count on integrated machine learning to elevate gameplay settings and framerates to pro levels.
Accordingly, these laptops are built with the intelligent Lenovo Legion Coldfront 3.0 cooling system for an increased airflow of up to 18 percent.
For instance, Lenovo’s January 2021 press release revealed, “Multiple sensors are placed on the CPU, GPU, rear and side thermal vents, as well as on the SSD memory card and palm rest to fire off information every nanosecond to predict your system’s thermal curve for hours of gaming with zero throttling. To further dissipate heat, we’ve expanded the copper heat sink system for up to 82 percent more thermal fin area gen-to-gen and drilled copious holes into the laptop’s bottom cover and even under the keyboard to keep things cooler.” Naturally, prices range from around $1,450 to nearly $3,200 for the Legion 7i Gen 6 model with a 16-inch display and Intel CPU.

Service and Warranty for Lenovo Legion

Lenovo Legion offers a one-year manufacturer’s warranty that promises to repair or replace your machine for one year from the date of purchase but only for defects in workmanship or materials that occur during normal use. However, most manufacturer warranties have several exclusions, and Lenovo is no exception. For instance, such warranties don’t cover damage caused by faulty setup adjustments, maladjustment of user controls, improper operation, lightning damage, or damage attributable to acts of God.
At Upsie.com, you can buy a service contract that protects against perils that may not be protected under a Lenovo warranty. For example, the warranties cover accidental damage, water damage, drops and bumps, screen damage, and more. Upsie’s extended warranty plan for these Lenovo Legion 7 gaming laptops offers 2-year or 3-year extended coverage that protects you and your laptop against a whole host of perils for up to 70 percent less than traditional warranties.
